- Written proposal. Before you commit, your proposal confirms the final scope, applicable Texas sales tax, payment terms and quote validity.

Home packages: common questions
Is there a long-term contract?
No. The monthly plan is month to month. You pay the installed price once and the plan each month.
Do I own the equipment?
Yes. The equipment in your package is included in the installed price, and it’s yours.
Can you use the sensors already in my house?
Often, yes. The Home Takeover keeps compatible wired sensors and replaces the panel. We confirm device by device during the walkthrough. Just moved in? Read what to do when you buy a home with an alarm.
Who monitors my alarm?
Professional monitoring is provided through our central-station partner. Powerhouse Guardians installs and supports your system and is your one local contact.
Is sales tax included?
No. Prices exclude applicable Texas sales tax, which applies to installation and monitoring. Your written proposal shows the tax.
I only want cameras. Do you do that?
Yes. See our home camera packages.

Not included unless quoted: lifts, conduit, exterior junction boxes, wall penetrations, city permit fees and after-hours work. Fire alarm, smoke and carbon-monoxide monitoring are not part of these packages. Final scope and price are confirmed in your written proposal after a site review.
