No. Alarm.com systems communicate with the monitoring center over a cellular connection.
Can I keep my existing alarm system?
Sometimes. Some panels and sensors can be connected to new monitoring and the Alarm.com app. We check your equipment first and tell you what can stay.
What happens when my alarm goes off?
The monitoring center receives the signal, tries to reach you, and requests emergency dispatch according to the instructions you set up with us.
Do I need a city alarm permit?
Many DFW cities require a permit for monitored alarm systems. We’ll tell you whether your city does and how to apply.
Will monitoring lower my home insurance?
Some insurers offer a discount for professionally monitored systems. Ask your carrier, and we’ll help you get the monitoring certificate they ask for.
