Business packages: common questions
Is there a long-term contract?
No. The monthly plan is month to month. You pay the installed price once and the plan each month.
What does the installed price include?
The equipment listed in the package, installation, programming, testing every zone, app setup and a staff walkthrough. Lifts, conduit, wall penetrations, city permit fees and after-hours work are quoted separately if your site needs them.
Who monitors my alarm?
Professional monitoring is provided through our central-station partner. Powerhouse Guardians designs, installs and supports your system and is your one local contact.
Can you take over the alarm I already have?
Often, yes. The Business Takeover keeps compatible wired sensors and replaces the panel. Some panels are locked by the previous provider; we check during the site review. See switching to Alarm.com.
Do I need a city alarm permit?
Many DFW cities require a permit for a monitored alarm. We help you file the application where one is required; any city permit fee is separate.
Is sales tax included?
No. Prices exclude applicable Texas sales tax, which applies to installation and monitoring. Your written proposal shows the tax.

Published prices as of October 2026. Prices exclude applicable Texas sales tax, which applies to installation and monitoring. Not included unless quoted: lifts, conduit, exterior junction boxes, wall penetrations, city permit fees and after-hours work. Package prices are for the scope listed; multi-site orders are quoted as one proposal. Fire alarm, smoke and carbon-monoxide monitoring are not part of these packages. Final scope and price are confirmed in your written proposal after a site review.
